JDR Guitars

I started JDR Guitars in 2006 after over 20 years of playing in bands and repairing guitars. My passion and sheer love of playing piqued my desire to create my own guitar. I enrolled at The Nazareth Guitar Institute to perfect my craft. As a luthier, someone who builds stringed instruments, I can create a guitar for you that will be unsurpassed in quality and craftsmanship. My love of music and expertise in guitar mechanics will allow me to transfer my passion and expertise into your guitar. I want to fashion you a dream guitar that you will love to play and that will reflect the music that is in your soul.

My shop is located in the rolling hills of central Pennsylvania. It is stocked with the finest woods and highest quality components. My shop is not a factory, but rather a studio. I devote my full attention to each client, spending approximately three months creating a guitar that is your JDR model fitted to your personality and playing style. I put my heart and soul into each guitar and you will be able feel the fervor that went into it. I emphasize tone and playability in all aspects of construction. Your instrument will be built with thoughtfulness and respect for the materials and tradition of luthierie. It will have a humanistic feel and allow you to bridge your own verve for music with your inner spirit.
